Science Museum Camera Club

The Science Museum Camera Club is an affiliate of the Buffalo Museum of Science started in 1939. We are a community of photographic practice comprised of skill levels ranging novice through master level photographers.  We come together to share our interest, experience and knowhow.

On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for “competition”. Members submit digital and/or printed photographs that a judge from outside the club views and gives feedback. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn where your strengths and opportunities for improvement lie.

On the third Wednesday of each month there is a talk about some aspect of photography intended to expand the members knowledge of the fundamentals, different categories of photography, and practices.

For a schedule of this years meeting please review the program page on this website or visit the SMCC website.

Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Museum of Science, 1020 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14211-1293. There is no cost to come and join us at our meeting, we look forward to meeting you.
