Camera Rochester

Meetings are held at the Baptist Temple Church, 1101 Clover St., Brighton. Unless there are holiday conflicts, our regular meetings will be on the first and third Mondays of the month

Since 1970, Camera Rochester has sought to stimulate interest in photography for people in the Greater Rochester Area.

The photographic skills of the club’s members are as diverse as the members themselves. Graphics, nature, portraits, landscapes, close-up (macro), fine art and technical photography are just some of the subjects that make our meetings interesting. Competitions for large and small color prints, monochrome prints, and digital submissions are held on the first Monday of each month. Programs, including demonstrations and lectures, occur on the third Monday of the month. Members learn about photography’s past, present and future, as well as state-of-the-art techniques.  The club’s activities include exhibitions of our members’ best images at local Rochester galleries.

Camera Rochester offers an opportunity for anyone with an interest in cameras and photography to learn more about the art in a friendly atmosphere. We welcome and encourage all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us. Whether it is a beginning photographer learning the basics or a more experienced professional looking for a new technique to try, our group offers something for everyone. It is never too early or late to start taking photographs
